To stipulate - I agree with Jon; Trump is evil. The proof begins with the 1973 FHA housing discrimination crimes and continues through the 1989 Central Park jogger accusations, the E. Jean Carroll rape and other rapes, the Obama birther lie, the Hillary demonization, the Trump Hotel anti-constitutional graft, the Hunter Biden demonization, the Jan. 6 insurrection, etc.
The genesis of the Trump myth might be in the rise of the fictional superhero/supervillain escapist "literary" genre in the late '30s/early '40s. As Superman and Batman battled legions of maniacal foes, the temptation arose in many young psychopathic minds to emulate these dramatic individual behaviors. Trump is a melding of Lex Luthor, Mr. Mxyzptlk, The Joker, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Today's Supermen and Superwomen are the House Select Committee, the Garland DOJ, and the voters of the U.S.
It’s so juicy I’m compelled to buy the book. Thanks for a delicious article from a Great NYT Reporter.

I am not sharing this and I think you know why. I am never buying the book either.
