The legends of TV/radio/print journalism are weeping - Edward R. Murrow, William L. Shirer, Douglas Edwards, John Cameron Swayze, Walter Cronkite, Eric Severeid, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Nancy Dickerson, Howard K. Smith, Harry Reasoner, Barbara Walters, Morley Safer, Peter Jennings, Bernard Shaw, and many, many more who would never submit to suppression of press freedom in the United States of America.
Thank you for sharing what made the Stephen Colbert show such a hit and the various people including your wife who deserve much credit. It’s a loss for CBS, but surely, Stephen Colbert is not disappearing and will share his talents in another venue or place.
Last night I wasn't able to watch Colbert. Sad. But I know one thing: We have power. We can boycott CBS, Paramount, and Skydance. In the long run, the Ellisons will pay the price. They kissed Trump butt but not only will they lose viewership but Trump will eventually throw them under the bus.
Thank you both for your hard work to make an awesome talent shine so bright. An empathic, caring man got to skewer the petty and powerful and lift our spirits at the same time. I hope he has a ball LOTRing it out.
