Trump was the first President since TAFT? who was obese. Since 65% of the US population is obese-- the CDC stats of only 50% are pure fraud-- this majority want a person who is like them. When JFK was a in office, we were proud that he went to Harvard and Jackie went to Vassar. But now Americans have no standards-- "you do you and me do me"-- so they like the person who makes them feel ok because they hate themselves. Gluttony is a sin and they love the Bible , right? President Biden should be admired, but his leanness works against him. Remember, I am in the body biz and see politics and culture through this lens. Ozempic is viewed as taking the "easy way out" which is stupid since it is the only option and it is the CORRECT one. Diet and exercise made America fat which no one wants to admit. Many Trump supporters can't afford treatment. Others view it like Covid vaccinations. Some know fatness offends the elites even though they are not excempt either. This is a nation of damaged bodies and minds and the rehabilitation will not take place even though we now have the tools. Tony Schwartz and I were both on the board of our Riverside Drive Coop in the 80s while he was writing the Art of the Deal. I knew about Trump's issues 40 years ago. I think the liberals are underestimating this man.

Good theory, Joan. I'd never thought before that losing weight would lose him votes. But if he's on Ozempic, how does that play?
