Free at last, free at last, WHEN will we be free at last of Trump?

Paraphrasing Shakespeare's Henry II: "Will no one rid me of this meddlesome beast?"

It appears that DA Alvin Bragg, Jr. is emancipating all our concerns by calling Trump's bluff in the court of law. Trump's standing in the court of public perception will likewise soon wither and die.

Until now, I was unaware of your production of the TV miniseries adaptation of William L. Shirer's "The Nightmare Years". I'm a huge fan of Shirer and actor Sam Waterston. I'll try to find a video soon. I count Shirer's landmark "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" as one of my earliest compelling reads when it was first published in 1961.

One has to admire Jonathan Alter for his willingness to sit through the Trump saga and report on it so that the rest of us have no need to do so.

This trial is the perfect opening salvo for the anti-Trump army - loads of sex, money, back-stabbing, double-dealing, trash-talking fuckery. Why would anyone vote for Trump after this sludge-filled performance ?? 😂😂😂

Fascinating and depressing to know what's going on behind the scenes of these NYC characters. It's like a Hollywood movie. I've heard a recording of Cohen screaming, cursing, and threatening someone on the phone who was not playing ball with Trump; it was shocking.

Truth and integrity are simply nowhere to be found in Donald Trump. I guess once you step in the muck, you might as well jump in completely. Trump would say or do anything in order to win; it was a serious game for him; it was his life. He became very good at the game: Tens of millions of adult Americans believe and revere him. That's impressive and awful.

May he never return to power! For a nation to function well, its citizenry and leaders need to be men and women of virtue, the higher, the better. Domestic enemies can do more damage than foreign enemies; a vicious person with clout is a domestic enemy. Trump is thus public enemy #1.

Better than the official courtroom transcript! Thank you!

Since little donnie descended the golden escalator the press has breathlessly normalized this. No wonder it wasn’t front page news.

Riveting, as usual. I kept thinking of Theodore Dreiser as I was reading it.
