The Trump hush money trial has become a classic American morality play. It is "a tale told by an idiot (Trump), full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Nothing uplifting, that is.
In the end, the damage to Trump's already ghoulish reputation may put an end to his renewed bid for political power, but we, the spectators, will bear the stain of his feces-throwing proclivities for decades to come.
TBH, a tour de force by Stormy Daniels...sure, maybe the ankle-snapping chihuahua didn't bring her A-game, but Stormy was more than equal to Ms Necheles. Your take on the tenor of the tRump team's questioning of Daniels was exactly as many of us predicted: ad hominem and slut-shaming, per the E Jean Carroll tactics...and look how well THAT went. Clearly the defense was following tRump's loser tactics, and somebody should have pointed out that the trial is all about a fraudulently claimed payoff in aid of his 2016 campaign, not about Stormy's character. But since the prosecution has literally ALL the receipts, cheap-shotting the witnesses is all tRump has.
This is the problem which lawyers perennially face when they have a difficult client - do you run your best case or follow your instructions? Ultimately if the client wants the case to go down the toilet that’s their choice - just make sure you’ve got the money in the bank first.
He’s certainly stiffed enough of them for that not to be a certainty - according to Rudy he is owed $2 million by Trump’s campaign and the RNC and he was a “friend”.
These accounts are clearly and concisely written. Thank you for being our eyes and ears in this surreal, historic and sometimes hilarious, trial.
Thank you for this update.
There are many social issues in the exchange ...
- Americans desire to look pristine while living in the mud
- Denigrating women who act in porn
- Underestimating a woman's intelligence because she has worked in porn
- Defending the man's unwanted sexual actions while blaming the female defendant's work history
There's probably more.

Michael Cohen is going to get it worse, bank it.

I would bet that issue (payment up front) came up before they accepted the case. Trump has a history of stiffing people.
