After watching and listening to the press conference last night, I think that there isn't anyone who has the wisdom, expertise, experience, energy and drive that Joe Biden demonstrated to lead us effectively and safely for the next four years. I'm with Joe!

Does anyone remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s refusal to acknowledge her age and declining health which gave us the Supreme Court we have today? The United States would be much safer from tyranny had she resigned and Obama could have appointed her successor. Instead Mitch McConnell got the Supreme Court he wanted. Biden should acknowledge that even should he win (unlikely in my opinion), his decline will accelerate over the next four years when younger, newer leadership would be beneficial.

From Dan Rather: According to The New York Times, the ABC standards team listened again to the audio and changed “goodest” to “good as.” According to the Times, “Mr. Biden’s actual words at that point in the interview were difficult to make out and open to interpretation.”

So, let's keep nitpicking the hell out of Biden while paying no attention to the constant insanity of Trump who so eloquently gives us crap like this:

“Our nation was saved by the immortal heroes at Gettysburg. Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was. The battle of Gettysburg, what an unbelievable. I mean it was so, was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways — it represented such a big portion of the success of this country. Gettysburg, wow! I go to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to look and to watch. And uh the statement of Robert E. Lee, who’s no longer in favor — did you ever notice that? He’s no longer in favor. ‘Never fight uphill, me boys, never fight uphill.’ They were fighting uphill, he said. Wow, that was a big mistake, he lost his great general and uh they were fighting uphill. ‘Never fight uphill, me boys,’ but it was too late.”

Why is it that the media is making headlines about the call for Biden's removal but keeping completely mum about Trump's almost daily tirades, inability to string together a coherent thought, and pathological lies? Why are people completely outraged about Biden's policies in the Middle East but somehow okay with another term with the creator of the Muslim Ban and child separation policies not to mention a sympathizer of Christian nationalists?

All this about Biden stepping down is getting so tedious. MSM is working for republicans. Putin must be chuckling with glee how we’re falling for his trap to get so focused on Biden’s age that we’re not paying attention to the other guy and his horrendous, democracy-destroying agenda. Remember Hilary’s emails? Swift boats? They won’t be satisfied. We have a messy fight over who replaces Biden and they’ll pounce all over whoever the next one is. They won’t stop. Unless we stop listening. (Can you imagine all the made-up garbage they’ll throw at Kamala?)

So on-point about the keys. In 2024, with so many households including an aging relative, this is an especially hurtful kind of gaslighting- not necessarily by Pres, Biden, who obviously doesn’t admit he’s in decline, but certainly by his supporters. Voters either experience or see these degeneration realities every day in America. Maybe it’s an opening for campaigning on good elder care.

Circulating a photo of Joe Biden sitting in a top-down 'Vette w/his "cool-jerk" shades on ain't gonna win re-election. This time it's really different, and I think the ONLY way Biden "wins" is for Trump to screw something up REALLY BADLY (way worse than he ever has) between now and November. Also, Biden's utter lack of humility and his "rah-rah" hyperventilations are NOT gonna convince anyone. His campaign ADVISORS are mostly ill-informed.

From the Free Press;

On Saturday, the New York Post reported that a doctor at Walter Reed Medical Center with expertise in Parkinson’s visited the White House January 17, hosted by the president’s physician Kevin O’Connor. A second report, published by Alex Berenson on his Substack, Unreported Truths revealed that the doctor visited the White House nine times between July 28, 2023, and March 28, 2024. (The logs are available

for anyone to access online.)

The doctor in question is Kevin R. Cannard, a neurologist and retired Army colonel. His

physician profile page

shows he is a neurologist and movement disorders specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who researches treatments for early phase Parkinson’s disease.

We had an “ exciting” convention in 1968 and we all know how that turned out.

Spot on. He’ll get the message. Hopefully quickly. Jill will be the messenger if Obama and Clinton don’t get there first.

Jon,

Your plea for Biden to "give up the keys" is most understandable, but I am just not sure I'll like whomever else might be chosen. Biden is a "known" (if flawed) quantity, and I'll have a hard enough time voting for him!

Donald Trump be damned. He lies even when it makes no sense for him to lie! I THINK that is a strong indicator of Trump's own mental instabilities! I thought he was , overall, rather incoherent at the debate, though no "journalists" seemed to take note.

I know the Convention has not even happened yet, but I think it's just too late for ANYONE ELSE to decide to run for Prez after all. WHY NOT 2-3 years ago, when it became pretty obvious Biden was not gonna bow out gracefully?

The "problem" is a lot bigger than Biden.

Biden proved yet again, just last night, that he is no different from Trump so please stop with the blue whining that Trump will end Democracy. It’s already dead thanks to both Democrats and Republicans who support Israel and the US killing machine ❤️🇵🇸❤️

You can vote for Jill Stein. But you know she won’t win. And you’ll be in effect voting for Trump.

I disagree you! Biden has had a stammer since childhood. Yet you say that would be definite proof of inability to be president, if he had stammered in the interview. Trump has been the the worst president we ever had! An arrogant liar who wants to be president forever, like Putin and others! This is the second time you have written about Biden negatively in the last few days.

I strongly disagree. Joe is fine.

Trump is not! He lied more than once a minute.

Do not divide the party more than it is.

We have 5 months to literally save ourselves and our country. Use it wisely.

Dividing us and criticizing our President, who has donene such an incredibly great job, is shameful.

I am unsubscribing because of this.
