Obviously, Trump is NO JFK ! Diplomacy is not in Trump's vocabulary! I'm terrified he will bring back the draft!

Whenever you do one of your measured, reassuring talks, I feel slightly less like crawling under my bed. When you come out to Rutherfurd Hall, remind me to take you on a tour of the farms in Warren County where the Cubans rehearsed for the Bay of Pigs. Don't worry, there hasn't been a cow blown up in decades.

Please include written transcript of content. Some may need closed captions, I just don't have the patience for listening.

I appreciate your insights and information. I’m more of a reader than a listener, but your short videos are clear and to the point. Thanks.

I can’t believe you can even stump me about music. I thought the Beach Boys’ version of Barbara Ann was the original but I just learned from you their recording was a cover.

What a disaster simply because of one man's ego to be one the world stage above another man's super egomania. Netanyahu goaded Trump into dropping these bombs. If it was a good idea, don't you think past President's would have already done it? Stupidity, ignorance, bullies, and little men with little minds have done nothing except waste time and resources to move a little dirt around the dirt pit. This was worse than the Bay of Pigs and Kennedy. But Trump will never admit it or accept responsibility for it. He will spin the sympathy button for the soldiers whose lives he endangered for this egregious attack based on highly questionable sources of intelligence outside of our own reports from Gabbard.

I really enjoyed this, not only because it was revealing of the truth, and in a useful context, but because, Jonathan, this is once instance at least, in this rapidly changing world, in which the calm demeanor of an Elder Sage brings with it a kind of peace that perhaps only such an elevated perspective can bring. I look forward to more of this in your new weekly feature. Namaste.

Thanks for this historical framework. You mention diplomacy but I can’t understand why Iran or frankly any country would negotiate with the USA. Who would they be negotiating with? Trump? Rubio? Hesgeth? Miller? Fox News? I don’t see a USA negotiating partner with authority and frankly competence. And that anything done couldn’t be undone on a whim.

Wendy, you've accurately and concisely outlined the death of American diplomacy. This is the tragedy of the seduction of America by Donald Trump.

I wouldn't call it his "Bay of Pigs," that seems a bit sensationalistic, and I would point out that it was Kamala Harris who called Iran the number one danger to America during her campaign, but yes Turmp is just as much a part of nationalistic military rule as any other president. He is more chaotic and unpredictable granted, but it was Hakeem Jeffries who only two months ago asserted

“Sinwar is gone. Sinwar is gone. And Hamas is on the run... and Iran is at one of its weakest points in decades. We can't take our foot off the gas pedal until Iran is brought to its knees — for the good of the world.“ So these people are all lunatics, and the narrative that Iran was planning to make and use nuclear weapons will certainly be reinforced by Israel and US aggression. https://barryjkaufmando.substack.com/p/the-empire-strikes-backat-itself

What was Trump’s purpose in giving the Iranian government advance notice that the US was going to bomb these nuclear sites? How much was Trump tripped to send in our bombers by his failure to host his vainglorious military parade just before the bombing of Iran? So much of this seems senseless, to put it mildly.

Thank you, Jonathan. I wish I could be a paid subscriber because I love the clear and concise way you present your ideas, but unfortunately, I am way oversubscribed to others and can't find the way to unsubscribe from the ones I no longer read.

I look forward to reading your next book!

Hi, Paula. I have the same problem. Go to the home page. In the upper right hand corner there is a symbol representing your account. When you touch it you get to a page that lists your subscriptions at the bottom. Pick one you don’t listen to anymore. Then touch the 3 dots in the upper right corner. You will get the choice to unsubscribe.

Of course, Trump is no Julius Caesar - he's a perfect Caligula.
